Elba Island Travel Information

Elba Island is a Mediterranean island in Tuscany, Italy, and 20 kilometers from the coastal town of Piombino. This is the largest island of Tuscan Archipelago, basically located between Tyrrhenian Sea and Liguria Sea. About 50 kilometers east of the French island of Corsica. This island has been divided into seven parts in which the main one is Portoferraio Capoliveri, Campo nell’Elba, Marciana, Rio Marina, Marina, Porto Azzurro, Rio Marina, and Rio nell’Elba. The main rivers which are flowing there are Fosso San Francesco 6.5 km, Fosso Barion, 5.1 km, Fosso Redinoce, 2 km.

Climatic condition of Elba Island is meditterrean in nature except for Mount Capanne where winters tend to be very cold. Autumn season is very cool and normal rainfall expected. The island is connected between two main routes Toremar and Moby Lines, both offering routes between Piombino and Portoferraio, the capital located in the north.
